Finding your next level Business Besties & Aligned Friendships because entrepreneurship can be lonely
Whether in life, business, or as we journey through the stages of growing older, friendships often fall into three categories: those here for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
In the entrepreneurial world, I think this is one the biggest challenges that we face; finding aligned friendships who truly understand the journey we are on.
The realisation hit hard—I needed a supportive circle who not only normalised playing big but also reciprocated the effort to strengthen the relationship.
And this led me to recognise patterns of one-sided relationships, where my energy was consistently drained. It wasn't easy, but I knew I needed to set boundaries to make space for the connections I want.
Calling in Business Besties
I started imagining the kind of friendships I would like to have—ones that embraced big goals, shared challenges, and efforts in keeping the friendship strong.
I made a looonggggg list of the kind of people, energy and aspirations I wanted to connect more with.

How to find aligned friendships in business
I found that the relationships I treasured the most came from chance meetings, whether they were at masterminds, mentoring programs, or speaking events. These interactions showed me that genuine relationships are universal and transcend geographic boundaries.
I decided to reach out to people I look up to or want to connect with. I started conversations with them and we even had virtual coffee chats or went for beach walks. They responded immediately, showing that being open and vulnerable can help build strong relationships.
