Overcome Comparison for good!

Today’s episode is NOT your usual comparison conversation – it’s the  conversation you didn’t know you needed.

Because comparison is real, comparison can be debilitating, comparison can stop us from getting to our goal.

We all know that feeling, you’re scrolling, find someone, stalk them trying to rationalise and figure out why they have success and then that overwhelm of feeling defeated like you don’t have success, you don’t have what it takes or any of these narratives can pop up.

It may be a fleeting moment or, we can feel this lingering feeling for daysssss and that shit is draining!

It can easily spiral into major self-doubt, missed opportunities, self-sabotage, procrastination andddd a whole TONNE of energy wasted!

I’ve been there in the past but now it’s a fleeting moment and it rarely shows up, so I want to share with you a tonne of mindset shifts I have found helped me and so many of my clients when they find themselves in this comparison trap!

Imagine if you were able to shift out of that feeling instantly in the moment and then get on with your day like the powerful entrepreneur you are!

Imagine how much more you would get done and therefore, imagine how much more success you could create in less time!!

Take back control over your own life, over your own business and over your own success!!

I have 5 strategies and mindset shifts to share with you so lets get into it!!

1. Alarm System

Instead of simply unfollowing or dismissing feelings of comparison, consider that your brain is trying to alert you to something.

Your subconscious mind has a purpose: to keep you safe and aligned with your true potential. It’s not here to make your day miserable.

It’s actually just notifying you of where you are misaligned or not make the moves you want to, it’s not something to avoid.

Use comparison as an internal alert or notification system. Regularly check in with yourself to ensure you're on the right track.

Comparison is a YOU thing. Use it to realign to where you want to go, its a deeper reason - just unfollowing people won’t help you will seek out that elsewhere.

2. Flip the script

Narratives of…

“Oh but you don't know if they're actually doing that good”

“can't see the behind-the-scenes so it's probably really not that good”

“Instagram is just a highlight reel, they may not actually be doing as well as they say”

It actually does way more harm than good because what we been doing is bringing someone else back down to where we feel like we are.

Here is my secret:

Stop focusing on everyone else and start focusing on you!

Rather than discrediting someone else's success to feel better about yourself, shift your focus inward.

Recognise your achievements, for they are likely more significant than you realize. Whatever you focus on expands so let’s focus on all the successes and wins you are having so that you can continue to soar.

 3. Success is unlimited

Comparison only shows up when we believe the opportunities or success are limited and someone else having it somehow means we don’t get it.

It’s like when you were a child, if there was 1 special red ball and it was your fave you got sad maybe threw a tantrum because they had it not you… then someone brings out a bag of unlimited red balls and instantly you’re happy and ok again - this is like comparison.

You’ve got to look for the bag of endless red balls because there’s so much success out there for you too, money is endless in this world, opportunities come and go all the time there will be more.

And when the opportunities don’t come… go and make your own damn opportunities.

 4. Clarity on Your Version of Success

Comparison only exists when we “think” we want what someone else has.

When you get CLEAR on your version of success and go after it with pure dedication, comparison disappears.

It's not about emulating someone else's goals but creating your own unique path.

When you’re super clear on what success looks like to you, it doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing.

Check in with yourself and ask is this something I truly want?

Is it true to me and my values?

Is it my vision for success?

if there were no trade-offs and sacrifices , sabotage is a whole other topic.

 5. DECIDE & take action

Self-doubt creeps in when you subconsciously witness yourself playing small or not claiming the goals you want.

Gratitude for what we have done is great BUT at the same time, we need to look at where we actually need to make the moves & changes in reality, we need both approaches.

Self-doubt often creeps in when you witness yourself playing small or failing to claim your desired goals.
