Iconic Leadership Podcast Series!

Part 4 is all about how to gain Major Visibility & Community who buy all of your stuff. It’s about being SEEN in a big way!

2 core pieces of being that Iconic Leader:

  1. Major visibility that goes beyond just a social media post or how many followers you have
  2. Building a strong community of raving fans

The first step towards achieving iconic leadership is stepping into your public figure era. It's about transcending the boundaries of your business and owning your presence on a larger scale.

This era needs you to step out of the shadows and into the limelight, embracing visibility as a way to connect deeply with your audience and leave your legacy.

Brand VISIBILITY aka. entering your public figure era

You can have the most well crafted legacy message, you can have the biggest dreamiest goals and be so ready to step into your iconic leadership… but if you are not visible, then there is no one to leave that impact on.

When you’re not visible, you also don’t have as many opportunities coming your way, not because your messaging sucks… but because people simply don’t know you exist!

As iconic leaders, you want visibility outside of just 1 social media platform, it goes way beyond having lots of followers or going viral. Its about being visible everywhere, having a sense of omnipresence and being truly memorable at those times when people are just simply brushing their teeth.

The more visible you are, the wider your reach becomes. Exposure increases your chances of reaching potential clients, collaborators, and opportunities that might have otherwise been out of reach.

Being visible ensures that your brand stays in the minds of your target audience. When they think of your industry, your name should come to mind first due to your consistent presence.

Visibility is not about being everywhere all the time.

It’s about strategic and consistent efforts that position you as a leader.

With my clients and for myself. I often map out a visibility strategy that keeps them front of mind long into the future.

There are 3 different stages of visibility I work on:

  1. Community & Raving fans (these people know you & what you’re about)
  2. Recognition (people know you exist but may not 100% know what you’re about)
  3. Awareness (getting in front of people that don’t know you exist)

Most people tend to focus on number 2 – recognition.

This is what looks like posting to socials, communicating your message, value.

But not many people are doing number 3 or doing it to its fullest advantage – that is getting in front of a mass audience that don’t know you exist and then keeping their attention through to the recognition and then raving fans stages.

In order to have true growth and stay relevant, we need visibility in all 3 consistently.

Diverse Channels of Visibility:

To be truly seen in a bigger way, you must leverage a spectrum of platforms at each stage.

  • Magazines, online articles, press coverage
  • Social media
  • Speaking events
  • Podcasts
  • Collaborations
  • So many more

It’s important to remember we don’t just want visibility for the sake of stroking our ego but we want people to enter our ecosystem and stay a while so that we can truly leave a lasting impact and legacy on this world and to build a strong thriving community long term too, which can only happen when we combine visibility WITH the legacy messaging from Part 2. *link to part 2 blog

Through repetition and a strong core message, you become memorable and people can get behind the message.

Building a strong community of raving fans

You can have visibility but without community it is very hard to own your leadership without the people who are invested in it.

Building a community of raving fans is key to your growth and impact as a leader! These are the people who shout your message from the roof tops & who buy all of your stuff!

Beyond transactions, a community are your loyal supporters who resonate deeply with your brand. These are the people posting and talking about your mission and business to all their friends and amplifying your visibility and impact.

Credibility & trust: A passionate community spreads the word about your brand organically. Positive word-of-mouth = credibility.

Creating a Community of Raving Fans:

Building a community is a two-way street, where trust, authenticity, and shared values form the foundation of your relationships – just like it does with romantic or friend relationships too!

Ways you can create more connection with your audience :

There are 7 ways I have come up with that we can build a community but I want to share with you 2 ways to facilitate deep connection today: (other ways – legacy messaging (can they get behind it), authority consumer psychology, values, personality)

1. Share your journey & story

As you share your journey and insights, you create an emotional connection with your audience. They feel invested.  They resonate with it and the lessons. There’s a level of vulnerability too.

This transparency builds trust and authenticity, crucial for community building. People get to feel involved in your journey, they get to know you deeper and it positions you as an authority and someone they can relate to.

This also makes you stand out & unique. No one else has lived the same journey as you. Plus,  stories are memorable!

2. Engage & talk to your community

Iconic leadership is NOT about talking AT people or having people follow you. Tt’s about true authentic connection and that 2 way relationship.

Encourage 2 way conversations. This is my fave thing to do I love chatting in the DMs with you all about everything and nothing at the same time, just purely connecting!

You may have also noticed I have began an Ask Jess segment on the podcast and if you haven’t listened, it’s like a whole coaching session and super powerful segment BUT it allows me to connect with you all rather than just talking into a microphone.

When people feel valued and heard, they become loyal advocates for your brand.

So, there are 2 core pieces you need to be able to have impact and influence as an iconic leader –visibility & community!
